Your journal is yours.
What Locus keeps, who sees it, and how to make it all go away. Last updated October 28, 2026.
Who we are
Locus is run by LastLap Lab LLC, 928 Lovell Ave NW, Bainbridge Island, Washington 98110, United States. Questions or requests: legal@harbor.it.com.
What we keep
- Your account: your name and email address from signing in.
- Your plan: who you are becoming, your action, its cue, its smallest version, your days, check-in times and time zone.
- Your journal: what you write or say in reply, the ratings you give (confidence, sense of control, stress), and the short line Locus records for each.
- Your phone number, once you connect WhatsApp, so Locus can message you.
- Voice notes are turned into text. We keep the text, not the recording.
Locus never asks about weight, drinking or other sensitive things. If you bring them up, they are recorded in your journal like anything else you say.
Who sees it
- You.
- Your coach, whose link you signed up with. They see your plan, journal and ratings so your sessions start where things really are. You can stop sharing at any time from your Locus page.
- Nobody else using Locus. Other clients and other coaches never see your journal.
We do not sell your data, show you ads, or share it with advertisers.
Services that handle it for us
- WhatsApp (Meta) carries the messages between you and Locus, under WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
- AI providers read your messages to understand and reply to them, and to write your coach's prep brief. They process it only to provide the service. If you choose No AI, they never see anything you send.
- Harbor hosts Locus and stores your data, with its own hosting and storage providers.
The full list is on Harbor's subprocessors page.
Choosing No AI
You can choose No AI when you sign up, or any time on your Locus page. Your check-ins are then written in advance, you reply with buttons or a few simple words, and fixed rules record your answer. No AI reads your messages or writes about you, and voice notes are turned off, because turning speech into text uses AI.
Locus is automated
Messages come from software speaking for your coach, never as your coach. It is not medical advice. If something you write suggests you may be in distress, Locus pauses coaching and lets your coach know.
Deleting your data
- Stop messages any time: pause check-ins on your Locus page, or send STOP.
- Delete everything: the "Delete my data" button on your Locus page stops all check-ins, stops sharing with your coach, disconnects WhatsApp, and permanently deletes your plan and journal. It cannot be undone.
- Copies of messages held by our messaging system are deleted automatically within 12 months. WhatsApp keeps its own copy on your phone and under its own policy.
- Coaches who want their practice removed, or anyone with a request we haven't covered, can email legal@harbor.it.com.
Age
Locus is for adults. Please don't use it if you are under 18.
